Day 8/52
Should I start with your soft voice
the crescent smile
Oh shoot for the lovely dazzly eyes
Which are dawdled with ur ingenue
Soft a heart craved in such resplendence
Beaut that knows no beauty
Leaving me lust for your aurora

I remember a year after I wrote this piece, first day I presented it my language tutor, she laughed hard, and asked me why had to associate with the word ‘beaut’, I just smiled back, not sure if I got an answer to that on this day though.
I remember writing this piece on request by someone I was dating at the time, I wasn’t sure what to write at the time, but then, I thought about her, pictured her right there, in my eyes (hihihihi). For every word I wrote, every letter I jotted down, was a piece of her that I imagined, and I’m glad it turned out just fine. Well, how could it not with all the humor it has? πππ
With poetry, every element, every technique builds up to what your feel, what you want to say, and what you don’t want to say. Every twist of a word can raise or lower your piece. You may choose to be descriptive or narrative, sentimental or not, humorous or boring. But at the end of it all, you must contemplate and read your audience.
I chose description for this piece for I felt it compelling, and has life to it. At a point I feel poems are meant to be descriptive in nature, but that’s just one man’s view. Ouh, and the humor? by now I take it that you have that figured out, it’s a generic part of meπ
This was specially made for Joan Lady, who is so much in love with this poem every time she comes across itβΊοΈ
