Day 18/52
Sometimes beauty is when you walk out in the morning to hug a cold chilly breeze in sweat pants
Or take a step to hug a throng of roses despite their pricks.
Choosing to smile in the face of adversities because that’s who you are.
Lighting up your heart to lead a way you know not leads where, except to pass through a sea of darkness.
And knowing when to take a rest when you need one…

Show me your card and I’ll tell you your best move… but what if what I offer isn’t the best? will I be crucified for reaching out?
Today’s poetry reminds me so often of moments we go out of our way to put others first, moments we sacrifice what we have for others to take, lay down our backs for others to ride.
I feel reminded that in there, there is a we that also deserved and still deserves a life worth living. A we that wishes, “when will this ever be over?”
But there is also a we that has grown to believe that if our environment isn’t better, than how best can we be. Lots of questions run through daily like a puzzle, and yet less answers are given back.
I’m reminded that we owe ourselves as much a duty of care or even more than that as we owe to others we keep in our lives. we deserve to get a grip and sense of love, light, and warmly feeling that we are home finally after a years’ hunt of right where we ought to be.
Poetry… is a great part of a whole life circulation system. It’s a reflection of who we were yesterday, who we are today, and, who we’ll be tomorrow.
For the world we live in,
It takes so much to live, but,
Be the inspiration you’ll want your sons and daughters look up to years from now...
