Day 21/52
I know a queen I look straight in her shy eyes,
Beautiful is her name,
charming is her character.
Stunning are her eyes
And Melodic is her voice

We all fall in love, or at least have ever fallen in love at some point.
A friend told me some time back, as he falls in love, what is important to him is a lady’s beauty, and if that fades, then he’ll have a hard time keeping up with that person. On other occasions some other female friends literally told me of criteria they’d wish to keep up with as per their parent’s ‘directives’, so this makes me wonder if in all these it’s still called love?
I believe, love knows no bounds and it shouldn’t be limited as in most cases decisions we make in choosing life partners are ones to hover over our lives for a very long time.
Love is when you fall for someone’s character. It’s when you are at peace with that person every time you are together (my girlfriend reminds this almost every time we are together about how comfortable I make her feel).
Love is looking beyond one’s imperfections and accepting them for who they are. Love… being in love… is when the person you are in love with, doesn’t make you feel like you ever committed a crime to fall for them, not even to make you feel guilty for being them.
To love is trusting yourself enough to give out a piece of yourself to some one else and hope that this will not be in vain.
My today’s poetry? It’s about the special people we have in our lives, those that make it feel right to love. It’s and expression of things that might have made us fall in love. Because in the end, poetry is all about expression.
Loving right doesn’t mean always mean you must get back the same love in return.
It means you are strong enough to emit love.
