Between the two of you, don’t keep it too civil and formal. This is not your office nor your workspace. It’s a relationship, and relationships blossom in the wake of freedom and expression.

Too organized? that’s frustrating, it suffocates what would rather be a wonderful experience.

If you ever feel like being too formal with everything, go to your room, organize whatever you can find there, go to work, conferences, symposiums, just don’t place it on some one else. It wears them out. It gets worse if you try to modify them into being like you. Certainly no one loves being controlled and being unable to decide on what they should and shouldn’t do.

Don’t love certain attributes about them? Talk to them about it, don’t complain… There’s a huge difference between talking about something, and complaining about it. And if you are loosing the argument, hold your horses, perhaps it’s not the best time to talk about it. When’s the best time? You can always figure that out. Read someone’s mood, timing is what makes a relationship talk either healthy, or otherwise.

But also think about this, what made you fall for them in the first place? do you still see that in them? Perhaps you are in the wrong ship and need to get into the right one😁 one that suits you. But hey, remember this, there’s no such thing as a perfect relationship. Those who’ve made it to over five, ten, thirty years also faced huddles, but still they worked them out, didn’t they? and guess what, they still face more challenges along the way.

Romantic gestures? know when your partner is trying to make one. Know when they are are trying to introduce something unique in your affair. Know when they are trying to light up the world between the two of you. It’s what keeps the relationship healthy. Keeping your head down most of the time, and developing a certain kind of immunity towards every relationship activity eventually takes a toll on them. It makes them feel as though you never know or realize the value of a moment. Don’t push what can be done today, to tomorrow Life tomorrow is never promised. All they want is to live with you today because memories forever live on when life is no more. So go ahead and tell them you love them, scream it out loud. For all they care, you are being expressive, and honest about a given moment.

With time, everything wears out, the beauty, the charisma… Hell lots of characters do fade out with age, but what really remains to hold you two together, is what you truly shared. Things that you did with out care of what comes next. That part of someone you never tried to change, because it’s who they are, it’s what made them. The lively soul in them you realized should never be clumped down, but rather left to soar up high.

Remember, above all, this is a relationship.
