Day 50/52
“The other thing you’ll never know, is the beauty, tenderness and softness that comes with letting a person take a sit within,” she said with a certain flit and total reassurance in her voice, “…allowing yourself to feel vulnerable at the heart beat of another beat against yours… these come with utmost love, not locking up yourself or laying with everyone.” The air around seemed to pick up on her strength, and her confidence seemed to unswervingly rise by the second, the room and everyone around seemed to fall silent. “when you find her,” she continued, “you’ll know of this I talk of, the road will be a bumpy one along the years and stretch of time, but she’ll be worth it, you’ll always know that deep within,” he watched his grandmother get lost in thought, her bones shrunken on her death bed, eyes closed and probably reechoing the moments she had as a young cunny girl…days when she’d beautifully fell in love with one who nature later snatched from her eyes at the peak, almost beginning of what they’d had over the years...

If anything I enjoy the most in life, it’s listening to the elderly narrate the days they lived and had fun… it’s always memorable and fun to listen in.
There is normally a thin line between lust and love, crushing and loving. For most, there is a time when all we have on our plates is the fun of it all, the beauty of moving around with no rules, laying with no attachments and so forth.
But how many scars do we inflict upon ourselves in this streak? Perhaps we do so in search of that we’ve not known in a long time, that which we yearn to fill, that which we are unconsciously blind to but wish to open our eyes to.
Definitely, there is joy that comes with finding that which we never knew we’d handle, my humble prayer is, you are able to find whatever it is that you are looking for.
And as for this poem, at heart I imagined a words from a distant generation, that which most of our generation consider to be too ‘analogue’.
peace isn’t where you lay, it’s where you move to find it.
