Loving…

“If you write a love letter, and hang it in the air, then that means love is hanging in the air.” Funny one right? well, its from some video that used to make rounds about a year or two ago, and I’d laugh my lungs out every time I watched it, I’m pretty sure I’d the same today if I did. But… well there’s no but, I’d definitely still laugh at it.

It’s been days since I wrote something besides poetry, well, my mind’s been pretty all over the place, and I it’s funny how I’m smiling to myself as I write this down in the middle of a night over here, only to schedule it for later. But anyways, straight up, today’s all about love. Celebrating those who understand us when no one does, not even ourselves. People who will go out there way to save our skins, people who sacrifice so much, just so that we get to do better in the world.

On days like this, life is all about starting afresh, making peace and appreciating. Have you ever thought about what that really means? As in have you made sense of the phrase “to new beginnings” Or you just flow along with wherever the breeze of the earth finds you? I know it’s a beautiful sanctum we have have, but it can be a little boring and tight too though.

On days like today, we forgive, we love and, we be hopeful. Keeping everything pretty straight, we forgive to make amends with our past, enjoy the present, and make room for the future. With forgiveness comes enlightenment, and with enlightenment, come peace. We love, so that we emit life and light. Without this light of love, we are lost causes that need redemption. We hope, and wish that every decision we make gets to have meaning, that all we experience is a mere guide to what’s better for us.

If we can forgive, love and hope, then surely we amend our lives, patch up the torn pieces, and appreciate those around us. We get to have a piece of mind we can’t find anywhere except from within. On days like these, we get to share love out there. And that, is always a landmark step in starting over.
