Tender Hearts

Day 35/52

Hearts like mine are tender and yet trusted with you for cultivation, nurturing and safekeeping…It was all yours, but now feels broken and cornered,” she said in an almost whispery voice and teary eyes.

Yours is a garden I’ve watered on a daily, cared for like I would for mine own child. It’s a flower I’ve taught to be beautiful from within and glamour from the outside. It’s a bird I taught how to fly and how to love… And now to the owner I return it neither unbruised nor broken, just finely not meant to be in my custody anymore,” He responded realizing how much he was giving up for his own happiness and for her so much pride as she turned her back on him…

Though rarely used, this is one of my favorite styles. The art of employing story telling in poetry. Well that doesn’t imply that there is never a story for every poem, but this, this to me is mind-blowing. In a way, it’s used to employ all styles and techniques of poetry in a yet simple manner.

So many times we lose too much for our pride and ego, and yet still, it takes a lot to give up that which you love and treasure to realize your true worth and happiness.

Relationships aren’t homesteads for mending broken hearts and carrying burdens too… Love comes from within and manifested by one’s actions. that’s how we grow…(This is something I’ll address best and better when handling relationships separatelyπŸ˜‰πŸ˜)

Life is so much about the stories we interact with, but it’s also how we relate with those stories and their effect on us.
